Strikingly, Bazhenov et al. demonstrated that nearly all paleomagnetic poles for Precambrian rocks 600 to 1700 m.y. old from the Fennoscandian and Ukrainian shields and the western Urals lie so close to that curve as to make random overlaps of independent “Precambrian” and Phanerozoic curves unlikely (Fig. 32c).”
