OMEPRAZOLE (Prilosec for GI reflux) was an AstraZenica blockbuster drug. It is an unusual chiral molecule. When the patent ran out, AstraZenica launched Omeprazole (Nexium) which is the more potent S enantiomer. All about chirality and symmetry.
