PLANT HORMONE RECEPTORS, including auxin, gibberellins and abscission acid have been identified, and recently, the receptor for the plant stress hormone, jasmonate. This receptor is a three molecule complex (the inositol-phosphate potentiated COI1-JAZ co-receptor). These are effectively the taste and smell receptors of plants, very different from mammals.
