Intracerebroventricularly administered PACAP appeared to stimulate catabolic effects on energy metabolism in chicken: it increased body temperature, metabolic rate and lipid utilization. Moreover, increased PACAP concentrations in the chicken brain inhibited feeding, which was later shown to be mediated by corticosterone release.”
