The presence of indigenous nitrogen in sedimentary and aeolian deposits using the SAM instrument on-board the Curiosity rover was reported recently. Observations of hydrated salts, magnesium perchlorate, magnesium chlorate and sodium perchlorate on the Martian surface, were also recently announced.”
