Platyhelminthes are common aquatic carnivorous flatworms, soft bodied invertebrates. Their bilateral symmetry is reflected in their internal organ design and their nervous and gastrointestinal systems are highlighted in this sculpture. This animal has remarkable regenerative properties and can even regenerate from a single tiny piece. It can also pass on learned behavior when fed to other Platyhelminthes. It is the earliest ancestor of our brain.
