HIGH DOSE SHORT TERM STUDIES of chlorine ingestion are completely meaningless for slowly emerging conditions like cancer. The literature is remarkably silent on meaningful studies of the long term effects of drinking chlorinated water, and the reactions of chlorine with gut proteins derived from foods. View in LinkedIn

EPA ON CHLORINE EPIDEMIOLOGY. "No information is available on the carcinogenic effects of chlorine in humans from inhalation exposure. A ?.. study showed no evidence of carcinogenic activity in male rats or male and female mice, and equivocal evidence in female rats, from ingestion of chlorinated water. ANIMAL STUDIES of 90-360 days with chlorinated water to support the use of chlorine disinfection of chicken carcasses are completely meaningless, and clearly an industry sponsored defense document.
