JASMONATE DETECTION BY PLANTS (SMELL). Jasmonate molecular detection pathways in plants, effectively a plant’s sense of smell for this volatile molecule, are now rather well understood. These are radically different mechanisms to from how mammals smell. In addition, how Jasmonate interacts with other plant hormones is also better understood.
