THE HYDRAULIC FRACKING INDUSTRY extracts oil and gas from underground reserves by pumping large amounts of undisclosed chemicals into the subterranean sources, and is exempt from the Safe Drinking Water Act. Over 90% of all US gas and oil units use fracking. There will be a separate series on fracking in a few weeks.
