BARCELONA has no shortages of people who think big, and are tackling bold initiatives. I have lived in many places, but for a small city, it punches way above its weight. Like any place, of course, there is an old core of side-liners, Monday Morning Quarterbacks, and pessimists. But the sheer energy and vision of the movers and shakers is daunting. I sat in a brainstorming session today for one of these big projects, and we turned to selecting a site. Without hesitation, a number of buildings were selected, as candidates for public donations. Barcelona will be an innovation mega center.
