DO YOUNG EMPLOYEES NEED A DIFFERENT MANAGEMENT STYLE? This author believes it is the case that Old School leadership is mot what works on the under 35 staffers. Top-down, authoritarian, rigid, very stratified in need to know, secretive and non-inclusive: all classic Old School. But beyond a disastrous era of dot-bomb CEOs with skateboards and pingpong tables, we have not come to terms with a new style of bringing out the best of our young people. And it has to be more than endless praise and total lack of structure.
