IF UNIVERSITIES ARE AT THE HEART OF TECHNOLOGY CLUSTERS, THEN TECH TRANSFER OFFICES are the gateway for IP to find drivers and investors. AUTM (Association of University Technology Managers) in the US meets at least annually to share the latest licensing templates and thinking, and has created an excellent and efficient level playing field for licensing technology from universities. We need to globalize their findings and efforts to accelerate and modernize the tech transfer process outside the US to generate economic growth and jobs.
