THE TRUMP DISEASE IS NOT KNOWING WHEN TO STOP. While "protect your downside" was memorable advice, not knowing when to stop was also a memorable lesson. THE INTEGRITY OF YOUR BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS WILL MARK WHO YOU ARE. Your word is non-negotiable. Your intentionality must be clean and transparent. Your integrity about honoring debts and IOUs cannot be compromised. These are all the values of an entrepreneur with heart and mind who will be the Best Of Breed. ENTREPRENEURS MUST TOLERATE THE UNKNOWN AND CHAOS far more than most business people, because they are at the fuzzy edge of "What If". It is a space that is intensely uncomfortable for most of us. It is both intellectually uncomfortable (can it be done?) and intensely personal (my family may be bankrupt if I fail). This is not for everybody. ENTREPRENEURS NEED MENTORS to help them prioritize, see the wood from the trees, think out of the box, open doors internationally,and help them keep a level head in the midst of adversity. SCALABILITY IS NOT THE ONLY GOAL FOR ENTREPRENEURS. Not all inventions need scale. This is an urban myth. A small team of one or two entrepreneurs can develop a new and improved version of an old drug and take it through Proof-Of-Concept, then license it to Big Pharma for say 200 M USD. The total capital needed was about 4-7 M USD. Then they move on to the next bright idea, and Big Pharma does the costly job of sales and marketing. This is not a rare story. View in LinkedIn
