SMARTS IS NOT ENOUGH: PERSONALITY IS AS IMPORTANT FOR ENTREPRENEURS. The first big hurdle in the maturing process of entrepreneurs is getting the requisite education, although some very exceptional people can sidestep that. But the biggest item that is a deal-breaker is personality. By that I mean ethics, focus, follow-through and ability to relate. Without these, if you do become an entrepreneur, it will be a very bumpy ride. Remember, you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all of the time.
