DEMOCRATIC SCIENCE. “While artificial intelligence (AI) sounds esoteric to most, their goal is really quite simple: to democratize AI technology, a complex world previously only accessible to data scientists (a few thousand worldwide). Now, any of the world's 18 million developers can incorporate AI technology into their apps and programs, allowing them to build smarter and faster.” https://lnkd.in/dqkvFim View in LinkedIn

EXPANDING ADOPTION RATE. “We're on a mission to make intelligence a core component of every hardware and software application. The biggest hurdle to greater adoption of AI is the sheer complexity imposed on developers looking to build greater intelligence into their applications. Bonsai is building a platform that will significantly accelerate the adoption of AI globally.” https://bons.ai/about View in LinkedIn

ENCRYPTION. “Google Brain’s neural-net AI dreams up its own encryption strategy; neural networks can learn to protect the confidentiality of their data from other neural networks; the day may one day come when two computers working together can self-generate a custom encryption scheme more robust than anything humans can imagine, then discard within minutes and create a new one as a form of information security.“ https://lnkd.in/dvWV-3G View in LinkedIn

BLACK BOX. “In the past, Google relied mostly on algorithms that followed a strict set of rules set by humans. The concern—as described by some former Google employees—was that it was more difficult to understand why neural nets behaved the way it did, and more difficult to tweak their behavior. The truth is that even the experts don't completely understand how neural nets work.” https://lnkd.in/d-4Nkau View in LinkedIn

BACTERIAL COGNITION. “New functional features that support the foundation of cognition appear at every level of colonial self-organization — from the internal cellular gel to the growth of the colony as a whole — thus facilitating a high level of functional complexity.”" "(Chapter 10) https://lnkd.in/dH829kt View in LinkedIn

SUM IS GREATER THAN ITS PARTS. “Swarm intelligence, now-a-days has become a research focus which studies the collective behavior existing among the natural species which lives in group. Bacteria Foraging Optimization (BFO) is an optimization algorithm based on the social intelligence behavior of E.coli bacteria.” https://lnkd.in/d7qV-kS View in LinkedIn

SYMBIOSIS. “An unusual intraspecies temporary mutualism facilitates the spreading of both species. While P. vortex transporting fungal conidia with his swarming masses, the fungi bridges air gaps with its mycelia and allows bacteria to traverse these and colonize new niches.”" "(Chapter 10) https://lnkd.in/dH829kt View in LinkedIn

FRAGMENT FROM NATURE contemplates communication and cooperation among bacteria. Often dismissed as simple organisms, bacteria are still poorly appreciated. One trait common to every single life form is the ability to communicate, within its own species and with other species, in cases of collaboration, or at least be able to eavesdrop on the chatter of other species such as prey. Communication as a part of the definition of life has so far not made the list, but should be added. View in LinkedIn

INTRASPECIES RELATIONS. “P. vortex contains two subpopulations with different locations and functions, that contribute to creation of complex pattern colonies. The coexistence of two subpopulations within P. vortex colonies allows flexibility and adjustment to heterogeneous environments including other microorganisms such as fungi.”" "(Chapter 10) https://lnkd.in/dH829kt View in LinkedIn
