The physical Church‐Turing thesis claims that every physically computable function can be computed by a Turing machine. HISTORIC wet-lab experiments in gene editing, chimeras or brain research form a contextual backdrop for investigations into brain uploading. The key issue is that fully understanding how any of these things work, is simply not required in order to perform these experiments successfully; this is a pedantic myth of the naysayers.
