TRANSITION TO A NEW TOPIC. This is now the end of the cancer chronobiology section, and chronobiology in general, and tomorrow we transition into a section that considers plants, specifically, how plants make decisions, and how they plan. While some have called this ‘plant intelligence’, the term itself has been ill-chosen, and caused a firestorm of controversy. This is a magnificent example of clinically applied basic research and supports the premise that basic research is critical for the advancement of useful knowledge.
