CHALLENGING IDEAS like plants, having diffuse computing capabilities that can be vegetatively reproduced from a cutting, having different and slow response time frames, having no ability to run mazes or undergo traditional behavioral tests, and being "open connected systems", all contribute to our profound and genuine difficulty of conceptualizing these strange creatures.
