THE THEORY OF INFINITE DILUTION has generally been the premise of dumping radioactive and toxic materials into our oceans and groundwater. A drop in a vast body of water. GROUND-WATER IS A RICH SOUP of aqueous chemicals from natural and man-made sources, sometimes at appreciable levels. Many are part of the natural food chain of plants and microorganisms, and equally, but almost all are cumulative, and do not go away.
