BRUCE BOOTH OF ATLAS VENTURES deftly summarizes three of the hottest IPOs in years, concluding that, for now at least, the ROI has been disappointing, and that to achieve higher returns closer to 3x, valuations at exit need to move higher. This is true if the investor exits close to the IPO mark, rather than wait for the market to increase the value per share following good news in the clinic.
