ARSENIC IN POULTRY is the next focus of these blogs, probably a surprise to most US consumers. This has been a very well kept secret for over forty years. It is so beyond the range of simple common sense to use these types of well known toxins in food. View in LinkedIn

A BREACH OF TRUST has occurred in the US consumer against the food companies, the food factories, and the regulatory agencies that are supposed to protect the consumer. "ROXARSONE is an organoarsenic compound that is widely used in poultry production as a feed additive to increase weight gain and improve feed efficiency, ... also approved in the United States for use in pigs ... approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in poultry and/or swine, along with nitarsone, arsanilic acid, and carbarsone." 2006 ARSENIC IN CHICKEN STUDY describes a feeding program that has gone in for decades, despite the USDA's own data of 3-4 times higher arsenic levels in chicken meat than other meat from 5,000 samples from 1993-2000. ROXARSONE "contains organic arsenic, which is far less toxic than its inorganic counterpart. For decades, it was believed that animals simply excreted organic arsenic. But evidence is emerging that it may also be converted into its carcinogenic cousin in the body of the chicken." 140 CHICKEN SAMPLES IN 10 US CITIES (2013). "Chicken contained inorganic arsenic at the level of about two parts per billion. Organic chicken ... contained about half a part per billion. INCREASED ARSENIC IN CHICKEN LIVERS. "The levels were well below danger levels set in federal safety standards, though the researchers pointed out that those were first established in the 1940s.
