SO ENDS this powerful paper which surveyed all known metabolic pathways for clues to early metabolism without phosphate, and thus without genes. Theoretical modeling of this type is an immensely important tool in probing molecular evolution, and will undoubtedly provide hypotheses that are readily tested experimentally. BLACK HOLE TIME. “There are two kinds of clocks we can appeal to in studying the growth of wormholes. The first are clocks external to the CFT; in other words clocks which are not themselves part of the CFT. They can have unlimited accuracy for arbitrary lengths of time.
