FABULOUS REPURPOSING STUDY which is in collaboration with Minoryx, an award winning Spanish company on the fast-track to break out of the box. The PI in this study is a brilliant physician-researcher and the data are compelling. Repurposing of drugs for new indications is a strategy that de-risks a clinical program because the drug has already extensive exposure in man and has undergone safety and toxicity testing, a big reason for a No-Go in drug development. Glitazones have a very interesting MOA and for this reason, despite warning labels, if used at low doses, may be very valuable.
