ACTIVATED CARBON FILTRATION is effective at removing all regulated toxic byproducts including THMs, HHAs, bromate, chlorate and chlorite. But control of one class of nitrogenous byproducts can lead to an increase in another. Emerging byproducts are less well characterized.
