GROUPS RISKING VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY. 1. Breastfed infants, as breastmilk dies not contain enough vitamin D. 2. Older adults. 3. People with limited sun exposure. 4. People with dark skin. 5. Fat malabsorption associated with some forms of liver disease, cystic fibrosis, celiac disease, and Crohn’s disease, as well as ulcerative colitis. 6. Obesity.
