Deletion within the locus containing tandemly repeated DORMANCY ASSOCIATED MADS-BOX (DAM) genes has been linked to the evergrowing peach locus that prevents dormancy. DAM6 is upregulated during dormancy and its repression during dormancy release correlates with changes in histone modifications.”
