JCVI's CLEAN WATER PROJECT using synthetic biology, and a way to wean us off burning fossil fuels. Already a minimal complexity synthetic microbial fuel cell is at prototype stage. Using waste water as a fuel, it generates a small electric current, to make O2 and H2, with clean water for human consumption. They are now working on scalability. Way to go!!"
