LAB CULTURED FOOD is definitely quite different from Genetically Modified (GM) food (although purists may still object). GM food has been subject of a powerful public backlash, as well as a strong reaction to Bt-Cotton by Monsanto, on grounds of bullying strategies. GM food is banned in some EU countries but is an ingredient in 60-70% of US processed foods. Regulations are much stricter in the EC with only two approved GMOs.
