CUMULATIVE PATENT VALUES IN THE US ARE VAST, equal to almost half the value of the GDP. This unusual article does a great job of surveying the landscape of players from IP brokers to litigators. Be aware that today, most IP of value will be challenged in court for obviousness or prior art. An important strategy is to send a patent draft to s good patent litigator in your field and asses the weaknesses in the application. This allows you to stress test the IP before you file it.
