MOTIVES FOR COLONIZATION are so compelling: immense wealth, power over vast domains, insurance for humankind, and military dominion; all the motivation that humankind needs to get out of bed in the morning. EMBRYONIC COLONIZATION is proposed as a work-around for vast interstellar distances, and requires two key components. Firstly, an artificial womb. Secondly, robotic caretakers.
