AN INTERESTING VIEW OF THE INEVITABILITY OF PERSONALIZED MEDICINE, and how it may already be shaping medicine. While the author states that our ability to interpret the kinds of data coming from whole genome screening in increasing rapidly, this is not supported by general experience. At the present time, the tools are advancing faster than our development of thorough, expert interpretations of what the data mean at a medical level. http://social.eyeforpharma.com/column/personalized-medicine-new-technologies-improve-personalization-and-precision View in LinkedIn

IF 98% OF THE UNIVERSE IS INSCRUTABLE DARK MATTER, beyond this being a jaw-dropping factoid, how will our relation with matter change when we understand it? LEARNING STYLES MATTER ENORMOUSLY. But our education system tends to be one-size-fits-all. My wife and I are learning Spanish. I am a visual learner. I have to see the word in writing or a diagram of the grammatical rule and take copious notes. My wife is an auditory learner and is driven by the sound, never takes notes, and prefers dialogue to reading. The classroom generally does a poor job to accommodate these big learning differences for our children. http://lnkd.in/cE2VBG? View in LinkedIn
