MARTIN CHAPLIN BSc PhD CChem FRSC, Emeritus Professor of Applied Science at London South Bank University has written extensively on structured water and intracellular water, bringing a lot of clarity to a science that has a definite fringe element, but also has some profound, and at times, very controversial, science. ICE. "Water is at its densest at a temperature of approximately 4°C. If you cool it further, it begins to expand again, and once it has completely solidified into ice, it has increased in volume by about 9%.
