It is really heartening to see rare diseases attract Pharma investments with increasing frequency. This trend promises future relief for the patients with these afflictions. The big issue remaining is how society may reward these developments without the need for drug pricing to be the only solution, where the patient and their family bear the brunt of the reward system for innovation. This needs an innovative remedy through tax or other incentives.
