BACK PAIN reduced in 80% of longer term sufferers with disk problems after 100 day course of antibiotics in a clinical trail. Lumbar surgeries have a high rate of undesirable repeat surgeries, meaning the first intervention was not successful. Back pain is notoriously hard to treat without side effects. This finding of an infection as the root cause in a high percentage is remarkable, and great news for patients.
