OCEANIC IRON SEEDING EXPERIMENTS have been a very controversial experiment to reverse the CO2 buildup in earth’s atmosphere by stimulating CO2 uptake by phytoalgae blooms encouraged by iron seeding and its sequestration in deep oceans. Large scale deposition of iron in oceans has been conducted on a few occasions. The next series will look at this topic.
