SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY AS COUNTER-BIOTERRORISM: most of the literature on bioterrorism appears stuck in a bygone era. Synthetic biology allows a vaccine to be developed very rapidly once the DNA of the biological agent is known (DNA vaccines). It also does not need a cold chain and can be nasally delivered.
