EMBRYO SCREENING for inherited diseases always provokes the objections of designer babies, which is a shallow code for eugenics. A screening method called karyomapping can screen for genetic defects aneuploidy (abnormal chromosome number) at the same time. It is long overdue to apply the same passion about pathogen disease eradication to genetic disease eradication.
