DPB REMOVAL. “Biologically active filters resulted in removing some DOC (25%), DON (18%) and—to a lesser extent—UVA (12%). Removal of THM precursors through the filtration process was low (3%), while the removal of precursors (relative to what was found by DBPFP testing of ozonated water) for trihaloacetaldehydes, chloropicrin and NDMA was high (55, 75 and 67%, respectively).”
