ALTERNATIVE WATER PURIFICATION TECHNOLOGIES are needed, and exist. There is a lot of gratuitous disinformation in the literature about their relative merits. It is quite clear that 100 years after the first public water chlorination, we need to revisit what technology alternatives we have to fulfill this important public health mandate.
