NEW LANGUAGE. “If new words are needed to describe how plants function, maybe we should invent new ones rather than trying to redefine existing ones.” Curiously, nobody has invented these new plant-centric concepts and words. They remain clumsily adapted. This is one of the key issues of grasping a sense of a creature like a plant.
