“STRANGE MATTER is thought to exist in the interior of neutron stars. These stars are what remain after massive stellar cores have exhausted all their fuel and collapse, birthing a bountiful supernova in the process. Electrons and protons merge into neutrons, reaching a maximum density at a radius of about 6 miles (10 km).”
