SIZE MATTERS. “Stars having a mass of less than eight solar masses (M⊙) create white dwarfs, whereas stars of greater mass transform into neutron stars or black holes as a result of the collapse. The existence of white dwarfs as well as neutron stars can be detected in our universe, but the presence of black holes is affirmed only through some hypothetical observations.”
