ATTRACTORS AND REPELLERS. “It was observed by Hoffman in 2017, that our local galaxy is being pulled towards the Shapley attractor, but in the opposite direction is apparently being repelled by a region devoid of galaxies. The ‘Dipole Repeller’ is a centre of effective repulsion in the large-scale flow of galaxies in the neighbourhood of the Milky Way. It is thought to be represented as a large supervoid, the Dipole Repeller Void.”
