SO ENDS this first of two weekends on the investigation of the detection of weak electric fields by bees and how flowers may have used this device to provide the bees with information about nectar supply, and how the electrostatic charge assists bees in gathering pollen against the force of gravity. Undoubtedly one of many unknown senses we are just starting to uncover.
