SHORT DURATION BEFORE WITHDRAWAL. rBGH (rBST) was approved for Monsanto for commercial use by the FDA (in 1993), and in other countries, but "rBST has not been allowed on the market in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Israel or the European Union since 2000. DIFFERING OPINIONS. The FDA, WHO, ADA, and NIH "have independently stated that dairy products and meat from BST-treated cows are safe for human consumption. AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY ON rBGH. "The available evidence shows that the use of rBGH can cause adverse health effects in cows. The evidence for potential harm to humans is inconclusive. SPERM SEXING or sexed semen is a technique to separate out sperm with the larger X chromosome so that male or female offspring can be fairly reliably produced. SUPER-OVULATION AND EMBRYO TRANSFER IN CATTLE.
