“YOU GET NO MARKS FOR EFFORT” a former colleague used to famously say. Showing up early and staying late will not hit your MBO. Results, however achieved, are all that count. Harsh? Yes but that is the metric you should hold yourself to. Verifiable, measurable successes. That is all that counts, except luck.
