THE FRENCH ANTIPATHY TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP appears to be thawing, thanks to women entrepreneurs. This trait exists in Spain and Japan also, where being part of the group and not “unusual” trumps starting a new company. Together with an antipathy to the word ‘ambition’ which can be read as ‘greed’, these old ways are very slowly eroding, and possibly faster in The Crisis.
