DETROIT’S BANKRUPTCY filed yesterday is an historic first in magnitude and missed opportunities. The writing has been in the wall for decades, and the car industry has been bailed out beyond its value. Despite public and political pressure, despite billions spent, this great city was unable to embrace change with imaginative solutions. A graveyard of the future.
