EASE OF ‘BIOLOGICAL ENHANCEMENT’ through advances in synbiology, the decrease in the costs of key scientific work, and the democratization of science have definitely colluded to make the work a less secure place today. Whether it be crooks and scammers trying to steal using these techniques, or whether it be the crazy loner, or organized extremists, there is no way to unknown what we know today.
