“PERSIMFANS was a conductorless orchestra in Moscow in the Soviet Union that was founded by Lev Tseitlin and existed between 1922 and 1932. Its name is an abbreviation for Pervïy Simfonicheskiy Ansambl' bez Dirizhyora (First Conductorless Symphony Ensemble).” Many biological analogies. https://lnkd.in/duSHh44y View in LinkedIn

SMART BEES. “Circumstances having given to the Bee its instinct is not more less wonderful than man his intellect.” (Charles Darwin, entry 115). https://lnkd.in/dbcVupKz View in LinkedIn

RESOURCE. “Researchers can follow these genetic logic gates to explore how the input and output of genes, proteins and promoters are organized.” https://www.nature.com/articles/srep08090 View in LinkedIn

CURATED. “SynBioLGDB therefore provides a global view of genetic logic gates in synthetic biology.” https://www.nature.com/articles/srep08090 View in LinkedIn

DATABASE STATUS. “The current version of SynBioLGDB documents more than 180 logic gates across three species (Human, Escherichia coli and Bacillus clausii).” https://www.nature.com/articles/srep08090 View in LinkedIn

NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES. “A clear sensorium and complex perceptual processes during a period of apparent clinical death challenge the concept that consciousness is localized exclusively in the brain.” (Bruce Greyson MD). https://lnkd.in/gQ_ETmgQ View in LinkedIn

CLINICAL USE. “The AND gate inputs can also be connected to certain disease-related signal responsive promoters and the output to a therapeutic gene to achieve highly specific in vivo targeting and curing of diseased cells.” https://www.nature.com/articles/ncomms1516 View in LinkedIn

APPLICATION. “Implementation of our research program will help to obtain predictions of the expected flux of antinuclei as the signature of antimatter stars in our Galaxy.” https://lnkd.in/gDYri97U View in LinkedIn

TOXIN SENSING. “For example, various environmental pollutant-like arsenic, xylene and Pseudomonas aeruginosa-responsive sensors can be wired to a multiple-input AND gate, allowing cells to report and neutralize a combinatorial toxic circumstance.” https://www.nature.com/articles/ncomms1516 View in LinkedIn

COMPLETED. “We calculated the energy density of high energy antiparticles ejected by antimatter GC in cosmic rays, and also checked the operation of the program to simulate the propagation of these antiparticles in the magnetic field of the Galaxy.” https://lnkd.in/gDYri97U View in LinkedIn
